Congrats. Looks like your 3 man team needs to move into the 3 Man Master Class. Tinker Juarez once passed my friend Victor at the 24hrs of Big Bear. Tinker to Victor as Tink came up behind Vic: “Take your time man, you’re doing great. I’m in no rush.” Tinker to Victor once Tink passed: “Keep up the good work man!”

Easy big guy. Publicly complaining about how you were passed? We’ll be more mindful of your feelings next time we blow by you. We are familiar with the term “on your left”. So familiar in fact, that we purposely only put plaid down the right side of our jerseys, so that’s all you would see when we were passing you. Next time one of us blows by you….check it out. We know the rules, and I’m sure you were asked nicely before you were told to get out of the way. And “The field will be looking for you”…….come on dude. Get serious. What are you, in a gang? The field doesn’t have to look hard, we’re all around the races with big hearts on our backs, come and get some.

Ahh, this explains the teams crappy passing ability. Most riders use “on your left” not “on your right” and certainly not the “out of my way NOW” as was used in the race. The field will be looking for you.

I’m going to coat-tail on what “Very Evolved” said… The way you connect to your audience is… Know who you are writing to. You need to pick a Target Audience and stick to them. You wouldn’t write to an audience of 14yr olds the same way you would write to an audience of 60yr olds.

Very entertaining Roc! As all these “Approaches are spot on” you forgot a solid one that I/we all might play w/ too much….that is going to a wedding or bar Sat night drinking/Dancing till the early morn and realizing you have a mtb race in VA,PA,Del somewhere @ least an hour+ away so as you drink as much water between the time you leave and the time you approach the starting line!! Your still drunk from the night before so you still have that ‘liquid courage’ so all the nervousness is completely gone, so you go out and kill the race in LUV CYCLES fashion!

Does peeing your shorts (or your pants for that matter) 5 seconds before the start of the race count as an “approach”?
